Boating Season is here!
With the ice off the lakes, it is time to think about BOATING! Before you get your boat out on the water, you may want to make sure you’re properly insured. “Alot of home owners insurance companies have some liability coverage for boat insurance, if your boat is smaller and has minimal horse power. When it comes to boat insurance the home coverage may have gaps that you are unaware of, explains Brian Varsho, personal risk agent at Marshfield Insurance. “Your boat should provide you enjoyment during the summer, make sure you’re properly protected and call your agent before you launch!”
4. Do you have sufficient coverage for your liability?
Agent Varsho says, “since a boat dock/lift/boat house are not attached to the home they are usually covered under Coverage B– other structures. An owner/insured may want to call us to find out if they have enough coverage to sufficiently cover the dock/lift/house.”
When enjoying a nice summer day on the lake the last thing you want to worry about is if you are sufficiently covered. Call Marshfield Insurance for more information!
