Event Raises Funds for Alzheimer’s Research
Alzheimer’s disease affects an estimated 5.7 million Americans and is the 6th leading cause of death among all adults, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Proceeds from Marshfield Insurance’s annual “Fore Roger” event go towards a Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation fund to assist families affected with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, provide capital for research, and help purchase medical supplies. “It’s a unique event and a fun day planned to combat a worthy cause,” said Nick Arnoldy. “We’re excited to have a great group of golfers, as well as former Green Bay Packers Don Majkowski and Antonio Freeman in attendance.” Fore Roger is held annually in honor of Marshfield Insurance founder Roger Arnoldy, who passed away in 2012 from Lewy Body Dementia. His son Nick now carries on the Marshfield Insurance legacy as owner/broker. “All the money raised stays in Central Wisconsin to assist families affected by Dementia & Alzheimer’s, in honor of my dad,” said Nick. “We are proud to carry on his legacy at Marshfield Insurance.” To date, the Annual Fore Roger event has raised more than $100,000 in local assistance. All support will benefit Alzheimer’s research at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, ensuring research can continue to offer treatments and hope to the families affected.
