Marshfield Insurance’s popular golf event “Fore Roger” was scheduled to return on Friday, July 15, 2022 at RiverEdge Golf Course in Marshfield, but flooding forced the event to be postponed to July 22. Fore Roger is held annually in honor of Marshfield Insurance founder Roger Arnoldy, who passed away in 2012 from Lewy Body Dementia. His son Nick now carries on the Marshfield Insurance legacy as President/CEO. Proceeds from “Fore Roger” go towards a Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation fund to assist families affected with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, provide capital for research, and help purchase medical supplies. Alzheimer’s disease affects an estimated 6 million Americans and this number is projected to more than double by 2050. Additionally, 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another Dementia, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. “All the money raised stays in Central Wisconsin to assist families affected by Dementia & Alzheimer’s, in honor of my dad,” said Nick. “We are proud to carry on his legacy at Marshfield Insurance.” This year’s event featured special guests Ryan Ruebl from “Meanwhile in Wisconsin” and former Badger and Green Bay Packer Jared Abbrederis. Special musical guests “Jocelyn and Chris” also performed to a large crowd at Wenzel Family Plaza last week as part of the event. “This is a great event every year and we love seeing all the support for such a worthy cause,” said Nick Arnoldy. “We had a great group of golfers and special guests during the day, selling out for the 3rd year in a row! Despite having to reschedule the event this year, we had 80% of the teams able to join us the following week and the majority of teams that couldn’t reschedule still generously donated. This year was a record year, bringing our total dollars raised over the time span of the event to exceed $100,000!
